The Israel Laboratory Accreditation Authority (ISRAC) is a statutory corporation established under the Israel Accreditation Authority Law; 1997, in order to provide recognition of the professional competence and capability of laboratories to perform tests in accordance with standards, regulations and other reference specifications. ISRAC is a nonprofit organisation. The Minister responsible for the implementation of the law is the Minister of Industry, Trade and Labour. ISRAC is an audited body, under the State Comptroller's Law. ISRAC operates according to ISO/IEC 17011 guidelines which define the method in which accreditation bodies shall operate.
